Benihana Salad Dressing
These came directly from Benihana's in Chicago - they gave me a printed
sheet when I asked what was in the dressing.
Asian, salad dressings
1/4 cup sliced celery
1/4 cup soybean oil
2 tablespoons coarsely chopped onion
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1-1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon each salt and round ginger
Combine all ingredients in blender container or work bowl of food
processor fitted with steel knife; process until almost smooth. Makes 6
servings, about 2 tablespoons each (unused portions may be stored in a covered
container in the refrigerator).
Serving suggestion:
Pour each portion of dressing over 1/2 cup torn spinach leaves topped with 2
tablespoons sliced mushrooms.
